Pramodha Weerasekera is an art writer, arts programmer, and emerging curator of modern and contemporary art in South Asia with over eight years of professional experience. She has an interdisciplinary educational and professional background in literary studies, visual cultures, and law. Her writing and curatorial interests merge gender, emotion, and feminist ways of life and artmaking. Her writing has appeared in e-flux, Art Review, Hyperallergic, BOMB, and several exhibition publications. She has participated in multiple competitive art writing intensives and workshops organised by Momus, Reinwardt Academy in the Netherlands, Asia Art Archive in India, Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art, and Serendipity Arts Foundation. She was a Khoj Curatorial Intensive South Asia fellow in 2023.
Pramodha curated Education and Public Programmes at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Sri Lanka from 2019 to 2024. In addition to public programming aligned with exhibitions, she conceptualised and executed the museum's schools and children's programmes. In 2025, she guest-curated the exhibition Semi-Autobiographical at the Ceylon Literary and Arts Festival Edition 2.
She is currently the Assistant Curator for Edition Nine of Colomboscope (January 2026) while writing independently.
